Corporate Intern - Finance

As an Intern at Ferrellgas, you will have the opportunity to work with one of the largest propane retailers in the United States. Our Finance Internship is open to college students going into their senior year of college, or graduate students. This role is a 60-day remote internship that will provide a background into the propane industry and Finance field for Ferrellgas and Blue Rhino to help launch a successful Finance career. During this internship, you may work on various projects involving the annual budget process, new project implementation, financial modeling and cash forecasting, and other process improvement. The internship will start in June 2024.

• Gains an understanding of all aspects of the business, with a focus on Accounting, Financial Planning & Analysis, and General Finance
• Instills and upholds a customer service culture within the company that fosters retention, relationships, and loyalty; and positions the company for increased growth opportunities
• Partners with key mentors throughout the program
• Assists managers and staff with projects as assigned
• Collaborates with managers, supervisors, and other senior staff
• Presentations to executive leadership about projects
• Follows all company regulations and health and safety codes
• Learns about conflict resolution and how to address various situations

• Must be enrolled currently enrolled in college level studies (as an incoming senior or graduate student) in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
• Previous work experience in Finance or Accounting
• Financial Modeling/Analysis experience is preferred
• Excellent communication skills: written and oral
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Proficiency in MS Office
• Attention to detail
• Time management skills
• Must be a Citizen or National of the United States, a lawful, permanent resident, or have authorization to work in the United States
