Overview

Under general direction, the Compensation Technician is responsible for assisting with the analysis, auditing, and administration of company-wide compensation programs. This position will provide analytical support for the HR compensation team, including internal/external alignment analysis, commission payouts, participate in survey submission, and organizational reviews.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for reviewing and validating HR administrative transactions.
  • Performs job slotting and wage analysis.
  • Responsible for administering the monthly Employee Commission Program.
  • Compiles experience levels for various non-exempt positions.
  • Performs various audits of HR data.
  • Provides analytical and project support for various compensation initiatives.
  • Maintains current job descriptions for the organization.
  • Assists with the administration base pay and incentive programs including annual merit and incentive cycles.
  • Participates in survey submission process.
  • Assists with the testing and implementation of iCMS workflow.
  • Develops techniques for compiling, preparing, and presenting data.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local compensation laws and regulations.
  • Performs routine tasks in compliance with company processes and guidance.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma
  • 2+ years of accounting, or payroll related experience or 1+ years of compensation experience.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills in Excel, Word, Power Point, Access, etc.
  • Excellent oral and verbal communications skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Basic understanding of payroll, accounting, and finance preferred.
  • Must be a Citizen or National of the United States, a lawful, permanent resident, or have authorization to work in the United States
