Overview

Ferrellgas is seeking a Senior Helpdesk Specialist to join our growing IT team! Under moderate supervision, this position is responsible for providing high-quality hardware and software telephone support to field and corporate personnel for desktops, laptops, and mobile devices. The job involves troubleshooting and resolution of hardware/software error messages, answering questions on how processes work, and resolving truck and handheld issues, etc. All cases must be logged into the workflow system for future resolution or follow-up. This position typically requires a bachelor’s degree in computer science, MIS, or related field and 5+ years of related experience.

Responsibilities

  • Handles level 1 helpdesk, supporting company’s hardware/software and mobile devices.
  • Logs all calls into JIRA Service Desk for future reference.
  • Assists in the development of the Helpdesk Knowledgebase.
  • Mentor new-hire Helpdesk agents as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, MIS, or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of related experience.
  • Excellent customer service & organization skills.
  • Must possess top-notch interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Good problem-solving skills.
  • A high level of work performance and professionalism in dress and attitude.
  • Strong organizational and customer relations skills.
  • Windows Server, MS Office, Mobile Devices experience.
  • Must be a Citizen or National of the United States, a lawful, permanent resident, or have authorization to work in the United States
