Overview

Under minimal supervision, this position will lead a wide variety of functions to support the initiatives of the company. This role is designated to support business growth through financial modeling, knowledge sharing, financial literacy, ad-hoc requests, and projects. The person in this role will manage and direct tasks either internally or to other parts of the business as needed. Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or other related field and 5+ years analytical experience.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with department leaders: Obtain meaningful information for large analytical and reporting projects.
  • Leads development and customization: Create budgeting, forecasting, and analytics tools to efficiently capture data that reflects corporate goals.
  • Financial Planning and Forecasting: Lead the annual budgeting process, monthly/quarterly forecasts, and long-term financial planning. Ensure alignment and accuracy.
  • Financial Analysis: Conduct detailed financial analysis, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and financial modeling. Provide actionable insights to support business decisions.
  • Reporting: Prepare and deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to senior management. Develop and maintain dashboards and other reporting tools to track key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Strategic Support: Assist in the development and implementation of financial strategies and initiatives. Provide financial input and support for strategic projects and business cases.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the FP&A function. Utilize financial systems and tools to streamline processes.
  • Ad-Hoc Analysis: Perform ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as requested by senior management. Support special projects and initiatives with financial data and analysis.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as Accounting, Operations, and Sales, to gather information and provide financial insights.
  • Compliance and Controls: Ensure compliance with internal financial policies and procedures. Maintain and improve internal controls related to financial planning and analysis activities.
  • Provides financial and technical literacy guidance: Expand the knowledge base throughout the company as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
  • 5+ years of strong financial and business analysis experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Strong Microsoft Office Excel skills, including Visual Basic macros.
  • Database relationship and model building experience, dimensional, and relational.
  • Must be a Citizen or National of the United States, a lawful, permanent resident, or have authorization to work in the United States
