Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Mail Clerk to join our team. This role is responsible for opening, sorting, and scanning incoming mail to respective departments, coordinating and dropping off mail/parcels with postal and local courier services, maintaining office supplies, and supporting administrative tasks to ensure efficient office operations. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Managing office supply inventory, preparing purchase orders, and processing/delivering office supply requests.
  • Sorting, scanning, and delivering mail/packages to postal and courier services.
  • Preparing mail/packages for shipping.
  • Scanning documents/mail and ensuring they are being sent to the correct internal departments.
  • Providing clerical/data support for various office administration systems.
  • Maintain accurate records of mail transactions and deliveries.
  • Coordinate with postal and courier services for timely deliveries.
  • Assist with filing, data entry, and document management.
  • Ensure mailroom and office areas are organized and well-maintained.
  • Handle confidential documents with discretion and professionalism.
  • Provide general customer service and respond to inquiries from employees regarding mail and office supplies.
  • Perform other administrative duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a mailroom, office support, or administrative role preferred.
  • Must have the ability to drive/travel to local post and courier services.
  • Must live within commutable distance to Liberty, MO.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to lift and carry packages up to 30 lbs.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Dependable, punctual, and professional demeanor.
  • Must be a Citizen or National of the United States, a lawful, permanent resident, or have authorization to work in the United States.
