Cash Applications Specialist

Under general supervision, this position is responsible for compiling data, processing daily incoming payments and posting funds to customer accounts. This position is also responsible for communicating with the field and our customers regarding payment issues. This position assists in training and answering payment questions for internal and external personnel. As this is a remote work environment position, a fast and reliable internet connection is imperative

• Posts daily incoming payments in a “lead role” fashion for FNA. Regularly assist with posting of Retail payments. Possibly assist with Blue Rhino Payment posting in times of need.
• Creates and processes payment loaders for larger customers
• Ensures that receipts are applied timely and accurately to each customer account
• Researches and resolves unapplied credits
• Researches and resolves payment issues, posts payments, maintains records and distributions
• Sets up future payments to draft customers who approve automatic drafts from their accounts
• Assists Credit Department with various credit functions
• May be assigned Customized statement duties
• Responsible for payment corrections and reconciliation of bank notifications
• Additional duties as requested

• High School diploma or GED
• 2+ years of accounting work experience
• Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills-both oral and written
• Highly organized
• Ability to work independently to resolve issues
• Ability to multi-task
• Basic computer and Microsoft Office 365 knowledge
• Proficiency in Word and Excel with high accuracy rate
• PeopleSoft experience preferred
• Must be a Citizen or National of the United States, a lawful, permanent resident, or have authorization to work in the United States.
