Payment Application Specialist

This position is responsible for compiling data, processing daily lockbox and billing. The Payment Application Specialist will gather data, enter information into the billing system for processing, and accurately process daily incoming cash. Typically requires a high school diploma with 1+ years of related experience, an associate's degree is preferred.

• Posts daily incoming Lockbox payments.
• Creates payment loaders for larger customer accounts.
• Ensures that receipts are applied timely and accurately to each customer account.
• Processes invoicing/billing through Rhino-tag System.
• Handles Pending Ticket List: this includes preparing and communicating to distributors the delivery tickets that do not meet complete criteria, such as manuals that we do not have copies of, missing DSDs, write offs and any other issues. Updates those delivery tickets once distributors provide proper information to complete billing process.
• Processes/corrects void tickets in Dynamics Navision.
• Fields distributor calls and emails concerning delivery tickets/invoices. Responds to these inquiries in timely manner.
• Conducts scanning and indexing when needed.
• Prints and mails daily invoices.
• Additional duties as requested.

• High school diploma required.
• Associate's degree in accounting or related field preferred.
• 1+ years of related experience.
• Able to interact professionally with internal and external Ferrellgas customers.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel).
• Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpretation skills.
• Detail oriented and highly organized.
• Dynamics Nav experience preferred.
• Must be a Citizen or National of the United States, a lawful, permanent resident, or have authorization to work in the United States.
