Ferrellgas is looking for a Senior Salesforce Developer to join the team! The Senior Salesforce Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing Salesforce solutions to support strategic business initiatives. This role involves building and maintaining scalable, high-performance Salesforce applications while empowering teams to improve efficiency, drive automation, and make data-driven decisions. The Senior Developer will act as a technical lead, ensuring best practices, mentoring junior developers, and collaborating with stakeholders to deliver innovative, enterprise-grade solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Leads the architecture, customization, and ongoing optimization of Sales and Service Cloud platforms within the Lightning Experience UI. 
  • Designs, develops, and deploys Lightning Web Components (LWC), Apex triggers/classes, Visualforce pages, and integrations with external systems. 
  • Ensures high-quality, reusable code with comprehensive unit test coverage in compliance with Salesforce and industry best practices. 
  • Designs and implements declarative automation using Approval Processes, Flows, and other advanced Salesforce features. 
  • Develops and optimizes complex SOQL and SOSL queries for performance and scalability. 
  • Provides technical mentorship to junior developers and administrators, promoting knowledge-sharing and enforcing coding standards. 
  • Collaborates with business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable, high-performance solutions. 
  • Serves as a technical subject matter expert (SME) for Salesforce capabilities, governance, and release management. 
  • Conducts regular system audits, refactors outdated code, and implements proactive monitoring strategies. 
  • Analyzes existing processes to identify gaps, risks, and opportunities for automation or efficiency improvements. 
  • Provides data-driven insights and recommendations for innovative Salesforce features and integrations. 
  • Champions continuous improvement, staying current with Salesforce releases, AppExchange solutions, and industry trends. 
  • Works within an agile framework, managing tasks and projects using Atlassian Jira and Confluence. 
  • Responsible for complex data migration including data mapping, cleansing, data transformation, and loading using tools data loader, Work bench and ETL platforms.  
  • Lead code reviews, mentor junior developers, and enforce best practices in coding, security, and performance. 
  • Ensures clear, accessible documentation of solutions, processes, and best practices. 
  • Builds strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners, demonstrating ownership and accountability for project success. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or equivalent combination of education and experience. \
  • Salesforce certifications strongly preferred:  
    • Salesforce Certified Platform Developer II 
    • Salesforce Certified Advanced Administrator (ADM-211) 
    • Additional certifications (e.g., Integration Architecture Designer, Application Architect) are a plus. 
  • 10+ years of Salesforce development experience (Apex, LWC, Visualforce, APIs). 
  • Strong knowledge of Sales and Service Cloud, Field Service Lightning, and Salesforce data model. 
  • Proven experience in integrations using REST, SOAP, middleware, or API management platforms. 
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce security models, sharing rules, and role hierarchies. 
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Strong project management, organizational, and problem-solving skills. 
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence technical and non-technical stakeholders. 
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments. 
  • Proactive, innovative, and able to work with minimal guidance.
