Blue Rhino, a Ferrellgas company, is searching for a Maintenance Technician to join our team. The Maintenance Technician supports the safe and reliable operation of our production facility by performing a wide variety of maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance activities.

 

This is a hands-on and dynamic role where priorities may shift based on operational needs. The Maintenance Technician works across production equipment, machinery, facility systems, and other operational assets to identify issues, complete repairs, minimize downtime, and support efficient plant operations

 

Schedule: 5:00am - 3:30pm

Pay: $23.00 hourly

Responsibilities

  • Monitors production equipment, machinery, and facility systems for unusual sounds, conditions, or performance that may indicate a malfunction.
  • Performs mechanical troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of production and operational equipment.
  • Diagnoses equipment issues and determines appropriate repair or corrective action.
  • Dismantles defective equipment and installs, replaces, or repairs components and parts as needed.
  • Performs preventive and routine maintenance to support equipment reliability and reduce unplanned downtime.
  • Conducts daily inspections and accurately completes required maintenance and inspection documentation.
  • Responds to changing maintenance needs throughout the facility and assists with operational issues as they arise.
  • Provides technical information and operational guidance to production employees when appropriate.
  • Partners with plant leadership and operations teams to identify and resolve equipment deficiencies and maintenance concerns.
  • Assists with equipment installation, modifications, repairs, and facility maintenance projects.
  • Identifies opportunities for long-term equipment improvements, upgrades, and repairs that may improve safety, reliability, or operational efficiency.
  • Maintains a safe and organized work environment and performs all work in accordance with company safety policies and procedures.
  • Performs other maintenance and operational support duties as assigned based on the needs of the facility.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Technical training / technical degree a plus.
  • 1+ years of maintenance / mechanical experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Mandatory overtime when necessary.
  • Must be a Citizen or National of the United States, a lawful, permanent resident, or have authorization to work in the United States
