The Account Manager position is the leader in driving new profitable business: creating business relationships that build customer loyalty and maintaining customer base of the service center. This sales position requires a broad knowledge of the organization’s policies, products, and/or services. Must be able to articulate functions and safety aspects in regard to propane systems to customer base and prospects. Typically requires a bachelor’s degree and 1-2 years’ sales experience. Ideal candidate will have propane, sales and operations experience. The sales territory would be ideal but not limited someone who lives in the Syracuse area.

Under the general direction of the Director of Sales, the Blue Rhino National Account Manager cultivates strong, strategic relationships with existing customers and develops a plan to grow new national and large regional accounts. This individual will actively work with the Blue Rhino marketing team to establish programs to grow existing sales through mutually agreed to programs with customers. The incumbent will utilize targeted reporting information and work with a National Account Coordinator who will support them on business reviews and general operational needs across their accounts. He or she will be involved in cost/price negotiations with customers to help maintain profitable margin growth and is also responsible for prospecting new account opportunities within their territory. A bachelor’s degree in business/marketing and 2-5+ years of Consumer Product Goods (CPG) sales and/or account management experience preferred.
